"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."...Sir Winston Churchill
Congratulations to Lance Armstrong! In many ways, his seventh Tour victory is the most remarkable. At 33, soon to turn 34, he is not young for a professional cyclist. Moreover, what did he have to prove this year? He already had more Tour victories than anyone else. Beyond that, this was the last year that his main rivals...Jan Ullrich, Ivan Basso, Alexandre Vinokourov, etc....would have their chance to best their nemesis. This year, he rode the Tour with a bulls-eye drawn on this back...and he still won.
As I wrote about in a Horsesmouth article last week, Lance Armstrong shows us the power of the second chance, "How to Work Your Second Chance." Before his cancer, Lance was a talented, yet completely undisciplined, rider. Afterwords, he dedicated himself to the sport like no one else. Blessed with extraordinary physical talent, he did not squander it a second time around. His work ethic became legendary. No one worked harder.
I have no illusions that, on a personal level, Lance Armstrong is a saint. Like many finely-tuned athletes he can be a tad prickly with his personal interactions. However, the way that he has maximized his second chance at life, and the sport that he loves...is truly remarkable. As inspirational stories go, this is one of the better ones.
"Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."...William Jennings Bryan
Accidentally read your article, I was deeply attracted, thank you for the article.

Ironically, the house that Thierry Mugler built in the 1980s on shoulders you could hang your hat on, could do with the Gareth Pugh vision. Instead it has Lady Gaga as a mascot (and apparently the voice in the cacophony of the audio track). It also has a designer and an artistic director in Nicola Formichetti.

After that, it was a riot of color and pattern — but on clothes much simpler than previous collections, which had been bulked up with embellishment. In fact, the most charming part of the show was a group of prints taken from an image by the photographer Robert Altman at the Holy Man Jam in Colorado in 1970, in which people were celebrating their ethnicities with joy. !

You can’t change who you are. You can only change what you know and how you apply this knowledge
